Probablly would never happen, but couldn’t the UFC make a deal with M-1 to CO-produce a Randy Couture/Fedor Emelieneko fight in 2008? It gives everybody what they want. Randy gets Fedor. Fedor gets US exposure(like he needs it) The UFC gets Randy to fight out his contract, and they get their grubby paws on $$$ from the biggest event ever in MMA. I think the only ones who would loose anything from this would be M-1, but they would gain production experience, and tutilidge(sp?) from the best in the business. That would get them noticed(another reson why the UFC won’t let this happen) and put on a great show.
I wish something like that would happen, but you’re right it probably will never happen.
[...] Fedor’s meet-n-greet press release says his media party is being held at Marc Ecko’s NYC… (Glove-tap to UFC Daily.) [...]
Total Speculation,
but I heard a rumor that is might be Vince McMahon of the WWE who is the secret investor.
Jeez, I hope not!!!!
Apparently, a few choice reporters were either told off the record who it was or were told but could be sued if they disclose the information.
With that said, I’ve heard that the McMahons have been completely ruled out. Shamrock was another rumor as possibly fighting Fedor, but he squelched those rumors on TAGGRadio yesterday.
ive lost all hope in fedor v randy

Is this the guy who makes that Ecko Unlt’d clothing line??
I know they have sponsored fighters in the past, Sherk/Sylvia.
I might be wrong with the spelling which would shoot a hole in that theory.
Yes, it is the clothing designer. I’m wondering if this may be a way for him to promote his line internationally along with putting it alongside an MMA promotion and coming out with a new line in the MMA community. It’d be somewhat smart to market it along side, especially since there are so many clothing lines already out there.
LR, I agree.
He could be the main sponsor (if he isn’t the buyer) which would be a lot better than having Xience as your sponsor.
BTW, in regards to Xience, any truth that the Fertittas might be shadow owners, who plant thier ****ty product Ads all over the hotest MMA organization going?
Any truth to any of that? I have heard that Xience is shady.
I haven’t heard that one, that’s definitely a new one, but I did hear about Xyience’s ex-CEO or President having a lot of shady practices that are now causing Xyience to be ceased in California. The article is linked on UFCDaily somewhere, it was rather interesting and somewhat made me think they may lose their sponsorship.
Yeah they have been served the order in California but (as far as I know) that was complete prior to the three-year extension with the UFC so unless the UFC didn’t know about it I think their sponsorship agreement is pretty safe.
Like I stated before, Randy might be willing to pay Fedor to fight him. Maybe Randy is a sponsor or secret investor? He has money.
hope it happens…if it does, randy will be able to take fedor down and stop him in the later rounds
I was listening to TAGGRadio from yesterday’s show. Trigg is convinced the company that bought M-1 is AEG.
http://www.aegworldwide.com/home.html
To be honest, it is a legitimate entertainment company that is in the sports entertainment industry heavily. They are also international and have venues in the States and overseas.
Interestingly enough, check this out:
AEG produced events such as:
ESPN Boxing
HBO Boxing – Lennox Lewis vs. Vitali Klitschko
HBO Boxing – “Sugar” Shane Mosley vs. Oscar De La Hoya
HBO Boxing – Vitali Klitschko vs. Corrie Sanders World
HBO Boxing – Roy Jones Jr. vs. Julio Gonzalez
HBO Boxing – Antonio Tarver vs. Glen Johnson
HBO Boxing – Bernard Hopkins vs. Howard Eastman
There is a long list of events on the site that they produced. This is huge. They have massive production power. If they bought M-1, we could see a PRIDE-esque production from them.
fedors a b**** and hes goin to m1 cuz hes scared of couture addin his head to his already impressive mantle it can go between gonzagas and his belt
