Anderson Silva will be back in the Octagon this Saturday, and in advance of his bout with Derek Brunson, the promotion’s posted one of his greatest victories to date.
That fight is Silva’s second tilt with Chael Sonnen, which went down in 2012. In their first meeting in 2010, Sonnen dominated the bout with his wrestling, before getting caught with a late triangle-choke. As a result, a lot of people wondered if Silva would be able to nullify his rival’s wrestling in the rematch.
Well, as you can see by watching below, Silva extended his storied reign as middleweight champ, by stopping Sonnen in round two.
Brunson – Silva will co-headline UFC 208, which will take place in Brooklyn.
