Lightweight Roger Huerta will return to action in the semifinals of Bellator’s lightweight tournament, which the promotion today announced will take place at Bellator 17 on May 6 in Boston.
Matchups for the 155-pound tourney are scheduled to be announced at a Wednesday press conference at Boston’s Wang Theatre, which also hosts the Fox Sports Net-televised event.
“There has already been a lot of speculation as to who’s facing who in the semifinals of our 155 tournament,” Rebney said. “I can say now that everyone will find out for sure at our press conference in Boston on Tuesday. This will also be a great opportunity for the media and our fans to meet Roger, Pat and Eddie and to find out their thoughts leading up to their fights on May 6th. It’s going to be a great night in Boston.”
The semifinals also include Carey Vanier, Toby Imada, and Pat Curran, while Bellator 17 is headlined by a non-title ‘super fight’ between lightweight champ Eddie Alvarez and Josh Neer.

I hope Roger Huerta wins it the tournament…
Most likely they will put Huerta v Carey Vanier… Having him fight Curran or Imada is too much of a risk for the young org ie too much too soon
This Bellator stuff is cool ………. was watching a rerun tonight of the last show . cool beans more free mma to watch .
Who wants to meet Alvarez, Huerta or Curran when “The Dentist” Josh NEER is on the card. NEER is the main attraction here!!!!. NEER ain’t about this pretty boy bullshit, RUN THAT PAIN TRAIN NEER!!!! NEER loves to fight!!! The most exciting fighter in MMA, hands down!!! And has the most loyal fans!!!!!!!!
