Brad Blackburn, Matt Veach, and Mostapha Al-Turk Released by UFC

After beginning his UFC career with three-straight wins, Blackburn (15-11-1), an IFL veteran, dropped a unanimous decision to Amir Sadollah in January before suffering a third-round TKO to DaMarques Johnson at UFC 112 in Abu Dhabi.

Veach (11-2) debuted last February with a first-round TKO of Matt Grice, but has since dropped back-to-back fights to Frankie Edgar in December and Paul Kelly on Saturday to fall to 1-2 in the UFC.

Al-Turk (6-6) was cut after falling to 0-3 in the UFC with a unanimous decision loss to Jon Madsen at UFC 112, which followed previous losses to Cheick Kongo and Mirko “Cro Cop”.

The latest releases follow the recent cuts of Caol Uno, Eric Schafer, Lucio Linhares, Paul Buentello, Rob Emerson, Chase Gormley, Ronys Torres, Rafaello Oliveira, and Rory Markham.
