Could the UFC’s fourth ranked light-heavyweight be headed to Bellator? Mr. Ryan Bader? Well, it looks like the Viacom owned promotion is interested in securing his services.
According to a new report from MMA Junkie, a Bellator official has informed the outlet that they intend to make Bader an offer within the next two weeks. The powerful wrestler completed his UFC deal in November by stopping Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
Afte the fight, Bader made it be known that he planned to test the free agent waters, even though he “loves figting in the UFC.” It will be interesting to see whether the UFC matches or betters the offer and re-signs “Darth”. Although Bader was quickly KO’d by Anthony Johnson in January, 2016, he’s unquestionably one of the best 205’ers out there. The only other man to defeat Bader (22-5) in his last 10 bouts is Glover Teixeira.
