99% of the people on this planet would be wise not to mess with Khabib Nurmagomedov (if not more), but just think what would happen if that person was loaded?

Well, recently the undefeated fighter and #1 ranked lightweight contender spoke with with To Fight.ru. According to a follow up report from Bloody Elbow, during the interview Nurmagomedov recalled a incident he had with a drunken, belligerent man in an American coffee shop. Here is some of what the galaxy class grappler had to say:

“I had an incident in America,” Nurmagomedov said. “When I was standing at the cash register, there is a drunken man bothering those who stood in front of him. He stood in front of me. When he came to me, I told him “Calm down, I’m a professional fighter”.

“In the Caucasus, we do not talk and say I am a man, leave me alone. In America, I have to say it. Because if I fought there, then I would have to answer before the law. You could put me jail. I warned him, and he abruptly sobered up. I told him ‘I am a professional fighter. I can break your face. You have to calm down.’”

Yup. That’s some sound advice. Chances are if the guy did know who Nurmagomedov was he wouldn’t have even approached him. Then again, folks do stupid things when they’re hammered right?

All this aside, the MMA world is still waiting to hear who and when Nurmagomedov will fight next. There’s been a lot of talk about him fighting Tony Ferguson, but that was when it was believed Conor McGregor’s taking a lengthy break. But, more recently McGregor reported that he never said he’s taking a 10 month hiatus.
