Recently Dana White reported that Holly Holm’s camp turned down an opportunity to face Cris “Cyborg” for the UFC’s inaugural women’s 145 title. While Holm’s manager has confirmed that Holm passed on the bout, he has provided some additional details.
White reportedly made the comments on the recent episode of the UFC’s Unfiltered podcast. In a follow up report from MMA Fighting, however, Holm’s manager Lenny Fresquez said Holm only passed on fighting “Cyborg” at 145. Frequez said Holm was willing to fight “Cyborg” at 136 or 138.
“Cyborg” has recorded two victories now with the UFC at 140 pounds, but the Brazilian star goes through agony to make that weight.
