UFC FN 101: Robert Whittaker Discusses Path Into Pro MMA, Preparing For Derek Brunson

Robert Whittaker

Not every fighter has success after they decide to change weight classes, but in the case of Robert Whittaker, his decision to leave the welterweight division has been working out fine.

Since Whittaker was taken out by welterweight contender Stephen Thompson in February, 2014, the Australian fighter has won five straight and has moved into the #7 spot at 185. During that time, the 25 year-old has defeated established middleweights like Brad Tavares, Uriah Hall and Rafael Natal.

In advance of his bout tonight with Derek Brunson, the UFC posted the vid  below, which features Whittaker discussing his path into pro MMA and his preparation for today’s fight.

UFC FN 101 will go down in Melbourne, Australia.
