Recently Jose Aldo said he’s not interested in fighting for another organization, even if the UFC grants his release, and Patricio “Pitbull” Freire didn’t care for the comments.

Since Conor McGregor was booked to fight lightweight champ Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205, but remaining the featherweight champ, Aldo has requested that he be released. Aldo has also said, however, that even if he’s released by the promotion, that he has no interest in fighting for a “B league”.

Well, recently the former Bellator champ Freire had this to say in response, while speaking to MMA Junkie.com:

“By attacking other organizations, not only is he closing those doors, but also speaking poorly of several high-level fighters, including his teammates and friends, Eduardo ‘Dudu’ Dantas, and John ‘Macapa’ Teixeira,” said “Pitbull”.

“Names like Phil Davis, Rory MacDonald, and Henderson have all migrated to Bellator,” Freire added. “And other high profile fighters in touch with the organization are all being offered much higher salaries than by the UFC.”

Freire, meanwhile, is still recovering from the leg injury he incurred during his August bout with Benson Henderson.
