One of Bellator’s most accomplished and dangerous fighters is set to make his return to the organization, as one October 21st, Alexander Shlemenko will throw down with Kendall Grove.
The Russian fighter hasn’t fought under the Bellator banner since February, 2015, when he KO’d Melvin Manhoef. But, following the bout Shlemenko was flagged for banned substances and was handed a lengthy, three year suspension. Shlemenko denied knowingly taking PEDs, and eventually a California court decided to reduce the suspension.
Recently the promotion posted the video below, which features Shlemenko discussing his return, and his plan to reclaim Bellator’s middleweight title.
