All worthy but I gave fight of the night to Bocek- Miller!
I though Palhares deserved to get submission of this night. Perhaps the fact the he almost ripped his opponents leg off after he tapped like 7 times went against him?
Mind you i’m forgetting the Almeida submission, that transition and submission was pure class.
For this he is suspended for not releasing. Maybe DW won’t like this and he’ll get his walking papers as did Sobral for not releasing. If I was ref I’d kick him in the face.
and then you’d been arrested for assault and battery…
There’s a huge difference between this and Sobral. Palhares was immediately regretful where as Sobral did it with a choke(endangering Heath’s life) and not only told the crowd off but in his post-fight interview said he intentionally did it to teach Heath respect.
Don’t forget BJ did held a choke on Jens a lil too long but admitted he just got caught up. Sobral wanted to severly injure his opponent and had all intentions to do what he did.
I’ve held submissions longer than I should have before too and it’s because I either couldn’t feel the tap or never realized the guy was tapping the mat instead of me. It’s not always malicious, and there is an onus on the official to communicate that it is over. What he did was wrong but it’s not like he tried to kill the guy or end his career.
Maybe the fact that Camoes is a black belt under a Gracie played into it also. Don’t know, but it’s a suspicion.
J-Ham is the man!!!!
Bully for Hamman and Wallace; definitely a great fight.
Good for Wallace that he got FotN, maybe that will buy my fellow North Carolinian (who I’ve met and is a pretty nice guy) another fight with the UFC, and if not at least he gets the money.
the wallace fight went to a decision just like we talked about justin
Yeah, too bad he ended up on the wrong side of it.
oh well, it was very close though could of went either way
Has anyone seen barnett vs mighty mo at dream 13 …. He gives mo a low blow wins the fight then let’s mo knee him in the nuts …. Eye for an eye …, just a lil lower
That has very little, if anything, to do with this story. Please stay on topic, it is a prerequisite to comment here.
