UFC 204: Dan Henderson Admits a “Few Extra Zeros” on His Check Could Prompt Him to Keep Fighting…

Dan Henderson has repeatedly said his October 4th bout with Michael Bisping will be his last scrap, but it looks like the legend could be convinced to return…if the price was right.

Henderson will face Bisping in the main event of UFC 204, in what will be the latter’s first title defense, since he bombed out Luke Rockhold to become the 185 champ. Despite the fact Henderson could secure championship gold in the bout, the 46 year-old wonder has said the contest will be his last, win or lose.

Well, recently “Hendo” spoke to Champions.co, and the decorated fighter relayed this:

“I’m sure with a few extra zeros back there I would consider coming back,” Henderson said.

“But, at the same time, I was ready to be done [in] my last fight. With the opportunity to finish with a belt and be the world champ at the end of my career, I couldn’t say no to that. When they offered me that, I told them that this will be my last one for sure, win or lose.”

There you have it. Now, would the UFC offer Henderson a raise if he became champ? Absolutely. The powerful wrestler is already a big draw, and if he becomes a champion at the age of 46, Henderson will be a bigger star than ever.

But, would that raise match what Henderson was alluding to? That’s a tougher question.

UFC 204 will take place in Manchester, England. In 2009, Henderson scored a vicious, KO win over Bisping, and chances are you’ve seen that highlight a bazillion times.
