The UFC machine has rolled into Texas this week, in preparation for the promotion’s event this Saturday in Hidalgo. In the card’s headliner, Michael Johnson will throw hands with fellow lightweight contender, Dustin Poirier.
While Poirier has been steadily rising the lightweight ranks since leaving the 145 division, Johnson is coming off consecutive, decision loses to Nate Diaz and Beneil Dariush. Prior to those losses, however, “The Menace” had won four in a row and was zeroing in on the title shot mix.
