Yes, recently the UFC announced that Rockhold – Souza II is going to headline UFC Fight Night 101, which will go down in Melbourne, Australia on November 27th. Due to the time difference, however, the event will air here in North America on the 26th.
The accomplished middleweights battled for the first time way back in 2011, when they were with Strikeforce. Rockhold won the bout, and the promotion’s 185 title, via unanimous decision.
So there you have it. Rockhold campaigned hard for a rubber match with Bisping, following the latter’s KO win in June, but the promotion elected to hand Dan Henderson a title shot. As a result, there was a lot of talk about Rockhold fighting Weidman again, but, obviously that’s not in the cards for right now.
Bisping – Henderson II, meanwhile, will take place on October 8th in Manchester, England.
