Anthony Pettis will throw down with one of the best featherweights in the UFC tonight, but “Showtime’s” reporting he’s mostly focused on what he’s going to do in the cage, rather than his opponent.
Pettis will take on Charles Oliveira tonight at UFC on FOX 21, who submitted Myles Jury in his last bout and has won four of his last five scraps. Recently Pettis appeared on the latest “UFC Tonight“, and while discussing “Do Bronx”, the former lightweight champ stated:
“I haven’t even watched tape on this guy. I didn’t want to concern myself with him. I did that for my last few fights and it made me second guess myself. Now I just concentrate on what I have to do. I actually watched my own fights to get ready.”
It’s going to be fascinating to see how this fight plays out. Pettis is looking to avoid his fourth straight defeat.
UFC on FOX 21 will be hosted by Vancouver, British Columbia’s Rogers Arena.
