If you were expecting things to get a little crazy at today’s UFC 202 press conference, well, you were right on the money.
The promotion held an event today in Las Vegas, which began at 1:00 PM/PT, except Conor McGregor wasn’t there when it started. That didn’t sit well with Dana White, who proceeded to criticize the Irish star for not respecting people’s time. As you know, McGregor has skipped out on a presser earlier this summer, and was also late for another one…
The presser began, however, and Anthony Johnson, Glover Teixeira, and McGregor’s opponent, Mr. Nate Diaz, all answered questions. Then, around 1:30, McGregor showed up. The outspoken fighter claimed that he thought the presser was supposed to start at half past, and also said that traffic was bad….
Well, a few minutes later, as McGregor was answering another question, Diaz just got up and started walking out. The Stockton fighter was clearly agitated, and could be heard saying things to McGregor. Then, things really went wild, after Diaz threw a water bottle at McGregor (who responded by doing the same).
You can watch the chaos unfold below.
Saturday night should be pretty, pretty interesting.
(Update: it looks like the UFC may have taken down the footage: you can catch MMA Junkie’s video, however, here.)
