UFC on FOX 21: Joe Lauzon is “Always Pulling” For Jim Miller When He’s Not Fighting Him…

Joe Lauzon is scheduled to battle Jim Miller once again at UFC on FOX 21, but not because he has a serious grudge to settle with his fellow, lightweight vet.

Lauzon and Miller are set to throw down at UFC on FOX 21, which will take place on August 27th in Vancouver, British Columbia. The two fought for the first time back in 2012, and Miller won the war via unanimous decision.

Recently Lauzon appeared on Brian Stann’s “Toe-2-Toe” show, and during it, the popular fighter had this to say about Mr. Miller (quote via MMA Junkie.com):

“Of course, I’m always pulling for Jim when I’m not standing across the cage from him,” Lauzon said. “He’s a guy I always watch fight – I never miss him. I watched his fight with Diego a bunch of times to get ready for that fight. I know what he’s about. He’s one of those guys I really enjoy watching fight.”

“…I think I’ve improved a lot since then and I think he’s gotten better too, but I think I’ve made up more ground than he has.”

It’s definitely a bout that should be on your can’t miss list, as both men are ridiculously rugged, pressuring fighters. Does it have “Fight of the Night” potential? Does Conor McGregor talk a lot about money?

Lauzon is coming off an impressive, first round stoppage win over Diego Sanchez, and Miller took out Takanori Gomi in the opening round. Both fights took place at UFC 200.

UFC on FOX 21 will be headlined by a welterweight bout between contenders Demian Maia and Carlos Condit. The card will be hosted by Vancouver’s Rogers Arena.
