Daniel Cormier vs. John Devine Added to Strikeforce Challengers 7 on March 26
Accomplished wrestler Daniel Cormier will return to action against fellow heavyweight John Devine at Strikeforce Challengers 7 on March 26 in Fresno, California.
Cormier (1-0), who recently announced the bout on Twitter, was an NCAA Division I runner-up in 2001 at Oklahoma State before winning the U.S. Nationals five-straight times from 2002 through 2007. He made his MMA and Strikeforce debut in September with a second-round TKO of Gary Frazier.
Devine (5-1) dropped his MMA debut, but has since won five-straight, including a third-round TKO last July in his most-recent fight.
Strikeforce Challengers 7, which airs live on Showtime, is headlined by Lavar Johnson vs. Lolohea Mahe, and also features Andre Galvao vs. Luke Stewart.

glad to see cormier back, unlike frazier corier first opponent, devine is a legit fight for him good matchup
REALLY looking forward to seeing the development of guys like Cormier in MMA.
IF the rest of his skills grow to even half the level of his wrestling, then Strikeforce will have an actual HW contender, instead of trying to manufacture or recycle one, Fedor notwithstanding…
no Manufactoring Fedor sounds correct ;)
I dare someone to lock up w/ Cormier… I’ve done it… ended with me needing a stewardess and a free inflight meal…
He is a large strong man and a hell of a nice guy {when I was talking with him} hey not half bad I get to see him fight in my hometown… Good stuff can’t wait for the 26th
heck yeah, he’s a great guy. He was my drill partner for a few sessions when we used to go to camp at Ok State.
