Following the untimely passing of “Kimbo Slice“, the late fighter’s son Kevin Ferguson Jr. will be stepping in the Bellator cage soon.
The Associated Press is reporting that Ferguson Jr. will make his Bellator debut at Bellator 160, August 26th. The 24 year-old’s opponent has yet to be determined.
Ferguson Jr. had his first, amateur bout this past March, and he scored a quick, first round stoppage win. The fighter has been training with veteran fighter and coach, Antonio McKee, as well as Bellator fighters AJ McKee and Bubba Jenkins.
It will be interesting to see how Ferguson Jr.’s career unfolds. Kevin Ferguson Sr. passed away last month due to congestive heart failure. Slice’s last two MMA bouts took place under the Bellator banner.
