“UFC Primetime” returns tonight at 10pm ET on Spike TV with a three-part preview of the UFC 111 headliner between welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre and challenger Dan Hardy, which goes down on March 27 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

A clip from the series, highlighting St-Pierre’s “freakish athleticism,” is below:

Who says white men can’t jump?

    Primetime’s back.
The good news is so is GSP.
The bad news is thats a whole lot of Dan Hardy to take in a 30 minute stretch…

I wonder how many Primetimes they will have this year. They said they were going to have 2 last year and that never happened. I wonder if they will do a Brock Lesner and (winner of Carwin/Mir or Cain) for their next one. That would be a good pick. Heck, I would love it if they did one for Shogun/Machida.

^i would love to see machida/shogun on primetime as well.

I’m he11a excited to check this primetime out. It’s stange though because I haven’t heard any trash talk from hardy this time around. Maybe he’s respecting the champ a little more.

I usually get super pumped for GSP fights and this is no different :D

I think the only drawback to a Machida-Rua Primetime would be the language barrier.
Otherwise, considering their last fight, I’m definitely wanting to see that…

I think I would be “gobsmacked” as our UK friends would say if the UFC didn’t produce a Primetime for Lesnar-Mir [assuming he neats Carwin] after everything thats dropped between these 2.
Mir is entertainment gold when it comes to hyping a fight and sh!t-talking, and Lesnar’s cult of personality almost guarantees solid ratings…

    Holy sh!t.
Was it me or did GSP almost seemed p!ssed off tonight in his Primetime segments?
I honestly can’t ever recall seeing GSP being almost…surly about an opponent.
Its almost like he’s thinking that he’s got to throw Hardy a severe beating to learn him some respect and how to handle himself in MMA when he’s outside of the cage.
And GSP came right out and said, other than, “I can do everything…well”, that Hardy hasn’t a fu<king clue about being an actual MIXED MARTIAL ARTIST, and that he's only a puncher.

Talk about "il ne ma pas impressionne' avec son exe'cution"

    Dang, thats cold.
But I guess thats what Hardy gets for running his mouth non-stop since he got the title shot.
Maybe p!ssing off GSP will work in Hardy's favor, and he'll "Serra effect" himself to the 170 title, but thats a HUGE gamble to take when you're getting ready to step in with the best p4p MMA fighter on the planet.
If Hardy gets an arm broken, or ends up p!ssing blood the morning of the 28th because he got taken down as frequently and quickly as Christmas decorations in January, he'll have no one to blame but himself, and his sh!t-talking manager.

Speaking of Hardy and Primetime, I have to admit that the comic book ending of episode 1 was good television, by revealing that Hardy is going to roll with the last man to beat GSP, Matt Serra.
You could almost hear the Venture Brothers music of "DUM-DUMMMM!" when Hardy hit Serra's new gym.
    Good television?
    Absolutely, yes.
    Good training for Hardy?
    Definitely not.
Serra, when he can duck Gar Rule's stalking, has spent years becoming one of the best BJJ guys in the sport. Hardy has neither the time nor the inclination to grasp the intricacies of BJJ, and even though Serra is by all accounts an excellent trainer of fighters, Helio GRacie himself couldn't turn the Outlaw into a good enough BJJ fighter to deal with GSP's own BJJ skill, not to mention his near-supernatural level of wrestling and overall athleticism.

And finally, I guess I was the only one to notice that when Hardy pulled up to Serra's place, there was a guy sitting in his car wearing an Islanders jersey and eating his lunch while never taking his eyes off of Serra's gym.
    Creepy but true…
    :)

I thought the same thing. Training with Serra is never a bad idea, but he isn’t exactly the person I’d look for to give me the ‘inside edge’ to fighting GSP. I’d talk to Matt Hughes or Penn a LOT more. At least both those guys have had more time inside the cage with GSP. Serra’s first win was great for Serra no doubt, but the rematch was the total 180 of their first fight. So Serra can either teach hardy how to throw an overhand right, which I’m sure Hardy knows how to do, or how to shell up and take a bunch of insane knees to the ribs, which if Hardy doesn’t know how to do yet, he might learn soon enough.

Hardy needs to be confident though. I agree with what he has said about people who have fought GSP. If you give St Pierre any room at all to get comfortable he will pick you a part. George hits hard, is fast, changes levels with freaky speed, has insane reach and awesome strength. The only 170lb person to even come close to bullying George was Thiago Alves who is a huge freak of nature, and even he was just simply evenly matched in the strength department. Hardy seems to me a little soft. He’s a good size 170lb fighter, but no where near the size of Fitch, GSP, Alves, or even Hughes. Hardy is already giving up speed and wrestling and when you add strength to that I think the only chance Hardy has is the Serra Effect.
