It’s a big fight, as Zingano is currently sitting in the #3 spot at 135, and Pena is ranked #5. The bout will mark the first time Zingano has fought since February, 2015, when she was quickly taken out by Ronda Rousey.
Prior to that, however, Zingano had won nine in a row, and also defeated Tate and Nunes during that run. So, if she can get by Pena on July 9th, “Alpha” will be knocking on the title shot door.
