UFC Announces Former Bellator Champ Will Brooks to Face Ross Pearson in Octagon Debut

The UFC has added one of the planet’s top lightweights to its roster, as the promotion’s announced that former Bellator champ Will Brooks has signed with the organization. In addition, the UFC’s reporting that Brooks will take on Ross Pearson, July 8th, at the TUF 23 Finale.

Brooks (17-1) arrives in the UFC having won eight straight fights, which includes two wins over Michael Chandler. Most recently, the American Top Team fighter earned a UD win over Marcin Held in November.

Pearson (19-10) is looking to build on the split decision win he earned over Chad Laprise in March. The noted striker is 3-2 in his last 5 bouts. Pearson was booked to fight James Krause at the TUF 23 Finale, but the latter has withdrawn due to undisclosed reasons.

So there you go. It will be interesting to see what Brooks can do in the UFC.

The TUF 23 Finale will go down at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
