Now that it’s been announced that Brock Lesnar will fight Mark Hunt at UFC 200, the latter has offered his take on how the fight will go down. Is the feared slugger promising to bomb out the pro-wrestling star? Is UFC 200 going to move a lot of PPV buys?
On Monday, Lesnar appeared on SportsCenter to announce the upcoming bout. After doing so, he credited Hunt for being a dangerous striker, but also argued that if takes the fight down, it will be over.
Well, Hunt has also weighed-in on the match-up, via his own website. In the interview, here is some of what Hunt had to say about facing the powerful wrestler:
“I deal with a wrestler like I deal with every other fighter,” Hunt said. “I punch them in the mouth”.
“I’ll knock his face off. I knock his mouth off and then his lips fly off.”
“I will send this pretender back so he can play house with the other part timers. This realm is for the real fighters, not these damn pretenders.”
Yup, if there’s one man in the game who can make you rethink your fighting career with one punch, it’s Hunt. It will be interesting to see, however, whether he can keep the fight standing. Hunt has worked very hard on his wrestling and has very good takedown defense, but Lesnar has some ridiculously, explosive take downs.
Of course, that’s based off performances that are five, six years old…Lesnar hasn’t fought since 2011.
UFC 200 will be hosted by the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
