The rematch will be part of UFC 202, which will take place at a venue to be determined in Las Vegas.
Diaz and McGregor battled for the first time at UFC 196 in March, and the latter lost the welterweight fight via submission. The two were scheduled to fight again at UFC 200, July 9th, but McGregor refused to attend all the media obligations for the bout, and the fight was cancelled.
The UFC and the fighters were talks recently to rebooked the rematch, and finally, a deal’s bene reached.
McGregor, who is the reigning featherweight champ, had won all seven of his UFC bouts before he faced Diaz. The rematch is expected to take place at 145.
