It looks like Brock Lesnar’s MMA career is not over just yet…
Following a report from MMA Fighting.com, which relayed Lesnar was close to signing a deal for his Octagon return, the UFC’s announced he’ll fight at UFC 200. Who Lesnar will fight, however, has yet to be determined.
Last spring, there was widespread speculation that Lesnar might return to the UFC for the first time since 2011. The 38 year-old wrestler ultimately signed with the WWE, however, and Lesnar relayed that his fighting days were done.
Lesnar signed with the UFC in 2008, and went on to win the heavyweight title by stopping Randy Couture. The accomplished wrestler was defeated by Cain Velasquez in 2010, and was then sidelined with diverticulitis. Lesnar returned to the Octagon in 2011 but was taken out by Alistair Overeem. After that bout ,Lesnar said he was retiring from MMA.
UFC 200 will take place on July 9th in Las Vegas. A rematch between light-heavyweight champ Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones will headline.
