With UFC FN 88 in the books, UFC 199 is up next, and it will feature one of the most highly anticipated grudge matches in bantamweight history.
On Saturday night, Dominick Cruz and Urijah Faber will throw down in the card’s co-main event, marking the third time they’ve fought. Faber won their initial encounter way back in 2007, by quickly submitting Cruz. The latter, however, went on to avenge the loss via decision in 2011, and has never been defeated again…In January, Cruz reclaimed the bantamweight title he lost due to injuries, by earning a split decision win over Faber’s former buddy and teammate, TJ Dillashaw.
Recently the UFC posted the “Bad Blood” preview below, which documents how and why Cruz and Faber have become such bitter rivals. Even if you’re familiar with the story, it’s still an interesting watch.
