Recently Conor McGregor reported that his meeting with Dana White and Lorenzo Fertitta went well, but it doesn’t sound like things went so smoothly when the two met with Nate Diaz.
McGregor met with the UFC officials on Wednesday, and in a follow up interview with ESPN, the Irish star relayed it was a “good conversation.” McGregor also noted that the parties are half way to the goal line. The goal line, it’s been reported, is the rebooking of McGregor – Diaz II.
Case in point, yesterday TMZ reported that White and Fertitta also met with Diaz in Stockton. According to the report, however, sources informed the outlet that White ended up leaving the meeting abruptly. The UFC President also confirmed that “”Obviously I’m not going to disclose details of the deal, but let’s just say my trip to Stockton didn’t go well.”
Diaz, however, proceeded to post the photo below of him standing with White and Fertitta. According to a follow up report from MMA Fighting.com, sources relayed that Diaz and White worked things out, but no deal has been reached yet.
So, the wait continues…Although McGregor – Diaz II hasn’t been booked yet, it looks like the wheels are once again in motion.
