Former “The Ultimate Fighter” season one cast member Alex Karalexis will look to return from a long layoff against rising 155-pounder Zack Micklewright at “WEC 48: Aldo vs. Faber,” World Extreme Cagefighting’s pay-per-view debut which takes place on April 24 in Sacramento, California, according to MMAJunkie.
Karalexis was last in action in March, 2009 at WEC 39 picking up a first round TKO victory over Greg McIntyre. The win over McIntyre snapped a too fight losing streak for Karalexis, suffered against Ed Ratcliff and Bart Palaszewski. He was meet Kamal Shalorus at WEC 44 in November, 2009 but was forced out of the bout by a broken hand.
Micklewright will be making his second entrance to the WEC cage following a unanimous decision victory over Muhsin Corbbrey at WEC 45 in his promotional debut. He has amassed a 9-1 record over his professional career, including a current seven fight winning streak.
