If you were ready to turn the page on all the talk about Floyd Mayweather boxing Conor McGregor, well, due to events over the last 24 hours, that’s going to be hard to do.
Yes, although many MMA insiders and hardcore fans are adamant a boxing bout between Mayweather and McGregor isn’t going to happen, the rumors just won’t die. Recently Mayweather said he’ll only end his retirement to fight McGregor, and now the latter was documented doing some sparring with former IBO champ Chris van Heerden.
Now sure, ordinarily if McGregor was spotted sparring a professional boxer, not too much would be made of it. But, because of all the talk recently about Mayweather, McGregor’s recent trip to the Box N’ Burn gym in Los Angeles is somewhat big news.
Case in point, TMZ recently posted video of the sparring session between McGregor and van Heerden, which you can catch below. Van Heerden also sent out several tweets regarding the day’s events, and the boxing pedigree of McGregor.
