Could the UFC have new ownership soon? For the first time since 2001? According to a new report several interests are bidding to buy the promotion from ZUFFA, and for several billion dollars.
ESPN.com is reporting that sources have informed the outlet that WME/IMG, China Media Capital, The Blackstone Group and the Dalian Wanda Group are in advanced talks to buy the UFC. Currently the UFC’s owners include Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta, Dana White and Flash Entertainment. The Fertitta’s, however, own 80% of the company.
