Some fans still haven’t got over the fact UFC 200 will no longer feature Conor McGregor – Nate Diaz II, but it looks like the July 9th card will receive another compelling bout.
The two fought back in 2013 and Assuncao (23-4) won the fight via split decision. The victory took place during Assuncao’s seven fight winning streak. The Brazilian fighter missed all of 2015, however, as his last win took place in 2014 when he decisioned Bryan Caraway.
Dillashaw (12-3), on the other hand, fought in January and lost the bantamweight title to Dominick Cruz via split decision. The American had won four in a row prior to the defeat.
So, that could be another solid addition to a card that already features Cormier – Jones II, Tate – Nunes, Aldo – Edgar II and Velasquez – Browne among others.
