Bellator’s “King Mo” Lawal is “Cool” With Getting “Beat” at Heavyweight…

If “King Mo” Lawal gets by Phil Davis at Bellator 154, he’ll likely get tapped for a shot at the 205 title, but the versatile fighter’s open to more heavyweight scraps.

Lawal and Davis will throw down in the headliner of Bellator 154, which will take place in San Jose, California, on May 14th. Since both men are two of Bellator’s top light-heavyweights, the expectation is that the winner will advance to face champion Liam McGeary.

Well, recently Lawal spoke with MMA Junkie.com, and while discussing what might come next, after Bellator 154, he stated:

“With me, I’m 205 or heavyweight,” Lawal said. “I wouldn’t mind fighting Minakov. I’ve fought heavyweight before, I’m undefeated at heavyweight. Give me a loss at heavyweight, I don’t care. Get me beat. Put me at heavyweight and let someone beat me. I’m cool with that.”

Spoken by a true ‘moneyweight’. Lawal won Rizin’s heavyweight tourney in December and in doing so, extended his winning streak to seven.
