Heavyweight Ben Rothwell has been sidelined by an illness and will be unable to fight Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic on Saturday at “UFC 110: Nogueira vs. Velasquez” in Sydney, Australia, but veteran Anthony Perosh has agreed to replace Rothwell and fight “Cro Cop” on the UFC 110 main card.
Also, a shoulder injury suffered by Elvis Sinosic has forced the cancellation of his rematch with fellow Australian veteran Chris Haseman.
The UFC announced the lineup changes on Thursday.
Perosh (10-5), an Australian native who runs a gym with Sinosic in Sydney, fought twice for the UFC in 2006, losing to Jeff Monson and Christian Wellisch, but has since won 5 of 7 outside the Octagon, including rebounding from an August loss to UFC newcomer James Te-Huna with a first-round TKO win in his most-recent fight in November.
