Marcus Aurelio and Luke Caudillo have agreed to fight at UFC 78, unofficially completing the fight card for the November 17th event:
A representative from the American Top Team today confirmed Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Marcus Aurelio has accepted a fight with Luke Caudillo at UFC 78 “Validation” Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. Though both parties have agreed to the lightweight bout, according to ATT, contracts have not yet been signed.
While Aurelio will come into the fight with a 14-5 MMA record he has lost three straight fights. After losses to Mitsuhiro Ishida and Takanori Gomi in 2006 he made his UFC debut against Clay Guida at UFC 74. Aurelio lost the bout by split decision and his status as a UFC fighter could very well be on the line in this bout.
Caudillo has a 12-8 professional record. In his UFC debut he was defeated by Nate Mohr at UFC Fight Night 10 in June.
