Sounds like it was a good night of fights, with lots of finishes an no decsions, which is how I likes me my MMA.
Unfortunately I don’t think HDNet has enough market penetration to make this s HUGE deal, yet.
However if ratings are good, and all parties signed to an agreement they can live with, this may serve as a model for other cable channels and regional MMA promotions moving forward…

It was a really good night of fights. With the great programming HDNet puts out as far as MMA goes alone I don’t know why MMA more fans don’t get that channel. There are usually 3-4 decent-good cards per month, sometimes more. Anything DREAM, K-1, MFC, now King of the Cage, I think I saw Sengoku there a few times as well. And the daily hour and a half of fights is great too. This channel alone is worth the hi-def package and worth switching cable providers for.

However with Marc Burnett’s name attached you would have thought more would have gone into production value. At least they broadcast it in HD though, that was enough to keep me happy.

Interesting thing of note, Vinny Magalhaes has taken to his newly created Twitter account to call out Tony Lopez, and even went so far as to say he would fight and only take a win bonus.

I LOVE HDNET! Lots of fights, Inside MMA w/Bas and lots of shows with bikini’s! It is probably my favorite channel and those were some entertaining fights. Lopez looked good at HW and silenced those who said his previous decision win over Tyler was a bad call. Wiuff was getting it handed to him by Kyle, but I did’nt like the fight ending with a right hook after the bell. I like Mayhem….maybe his broadcast abilities will improve. I think he is more comfortable in Japan though, his commentary when he is over there is much smoother than on American TV. IMO
