Middleweights Ryan Jensen and Jesse Forbes will look to rebound from recent losses when they meet in a likely loser-gets-cut matchup at UFC 114 on May 29 in Las Vegas. MMA Fighting first reported the bout, which has been signed, on Monday.
Jensen (14-6) was previously cut by the UFC following back-to-back losses in 2007, but earned his way back with a 2-1 stretch outside the Octagon. Since returning, Jensen has gone just 1-2, defeating Steve Steinbeiss before losing to Mark Munoz in his most-recent fight.
A castmember on The Ultimate Fighter 3, Forbes (13-4) left the UFC following a loss to Matt Hamill in 2006, but returned in January after going 11-2 with five-straight wins only to drop a split decision to Nick Catone.
UFC 114, which airs live on pay-per-view from the Mandalay Bay Events Center, is expected to feature Quinton “Rampage” Jackson vs. Rashad Evans and Forrest Griffin vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
