Conor McGregor – Nate Diaz II? Plans Are Reportedly in Motion

If you’ve been thinking you’d like to see Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz fight again, and aren’t a big Frankie Edgar fan, well, things are looking up.

Yes, although McGregor has said he plans to defend the featherweight crown next, according to a new report, an immediate rematch with Diaz is being planned for UFC 200. News of the bout is being reported by MMA Fighting.com.

If that wasn’t crazy / interesting enough, the report also says that the bout will go down at 170 pounds again. How about that? The UFC, however, has not made any official announcement yet.

McGregor battled Diaz at UFC 196 earlier this month. Although he blooded the latter with big shots early on, the rugged Diaz battled back and put McGregor away with a rear-naked-choke in round two.

If this happens, it’s going to be pretty interesting to hear Edgar’s reaction. The featherweight contender has been campaigning hard and then some for a bout with McGregor. This could mean that the 145 title wouldn’t be up for grabs until late 2016.

UFC 200 will go down on July 9th in Las Vegas, Nevada.
