If you were disappointed by the news earlier on Tuesday that Rafael dos Anjos will no longer fight Conor McGregor at UFC 196, that was understandable. But, the promotion has put together a bout that should make you smile.

The UFC has announced that Nate Diaz has agreed to fight McGregor at the March 5th event.  The bout will be a five round, welterweight scrap. The move comes after the lightweight champ RDA was forced to pull out, after breaking his foot in training.

Diaz (18-10) is coming off an impressive, decision win over Michael Johnson in December. McGregor (19-2) also fought in December, and secured the featherweight title by taking out Jose Aldo.

The next couple of weeks is going to be one intense ride no?

UFC 196 will be hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
