Conor McGregor fans are hoping to see the star holding two belts soon enough, or even three, but Jose Aldo predicts that his rival will be championship-less, by the year’s end.

McGregor is preparing to fight the lightweight champ Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 196 on March 5th, and if he takes that title, there’s been talk he’ll gun for the welterweight belt too. Well, the man he KO’d in December to win the 145 title, the legendary Aldo, recently told the Brazilian press the following (quote via MMA Fighting.com):

“I think it’s tough,” Aldo said, while weighing in on the rumor that McGregor might pursue the 170 belt. “And I’ll say this: I don’t think he will have any belt by the end of the year. And everyone will forget him. He has this dream, this goal, but you can be sure that he won’t have any (belt) by the end of the year.”

Aldo also added that he will reclaim the featherweight title, after McGregor loses to dos Anjos. We shall see what happens.
