Don’t look now, but the UFC’s next event in Brazil is starting to come together rather nicely.
On Tuesday, the promotion confirmed that Patrick Cummins will take on Antonio Rogerio Nogueira at the May 14th event, which has yet to have a city / venue announced. The card is already set to feature Vitor Belfort vs. “Jacare” Souza and Demian Maia vs. Matt Brown.
Cummins (8-3) is coming off a stoppage loss to Glover Teixeira in November, after taking out Rafael Cavalcante in August.
Nogueira (21-7), on the other hand, is coming off consecutive losses to “Shogun” Rua and Anthony Johnson.
So, that’s an interesting bout at 205. Cummins needs a win to remain in the top 10 ranks, and “Lil Nog” needs a victory if he hopes to keep facing contenders moving forward.
