Well, it looks like the UFC doesn’t plan to see how this month’s Anderson Silva – Michael Bisping bout plays out, as Dana White is reporting that Luke Rockhold - Chris Weidman II is being targeted for UFC 199.
White relayed the news while talking to Katie Nolan on Garbage Time. The UFC President didn’t provide a date, but he did say the card will take place in June. White also relayed that the rematch between Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones is planned for April.
So, it’s not a surprising announcement really. Since Yoel Romero was recently notified of a potential doping violation, the UFC didn’t have a lot of other options to go with. Rockhold wants a rematch with Vitor Belfort, but he was stopped by Weidman last year, and is booked to take on “Jacare” Souza on May 14th.
