Conor McGregor may be booked to fight Rafael dos Anjos, and many  believe Frankie Edgar will be next to challenge for the 145 belt, but Jose Aldo hasn’t stopped calling for another scrap with his rival.

Since Aldo’s storied reign as featherweight champion was quickly ended by McGregor’s left hand, the Brazilian star has been campaigning for an immediate rematch. The UFC brass hasn’t said much publicly about it, however, and the consensus seems to be that Edgar will face McGregor when he returns to 145.

Well, recently Aldo had this to say while talking to Globo Esporte (quote via Bloody Elbow.com):

“All champions who lost got an immediate rematch.  So we will only accept that. We are fighting for a right that is ours.”

It’s going to be interesting to see what the UFC elects to do here. Aldo was taken out in 13 seconds, but this is a man who defended the 145 title nine times (including WEC appearances).
