Eric Schafer vs. Jason Brilz Announced for UFC on Versus 1
Light heavyweights Eric Schafer and Jason Brilz will look to bounce back from recent losses when they meet at “UFC on Versus: Vera vs. Jones” on March 21 in Denver, Colorado. The UFC added the bout to the preliminary card for the Versus-televised event on Thursday.
Schafer (11-4-2) had won four-straight, including UFC wins over Houston Alexander and Antonio Mendes, before dropping a unanimous decision to Ryan Bader in October.
Brilz (17-2-1) won his first two UFC fights over Brad Morris and Tim Boetsch to push his unbeaten streak to 13, but suffered a split decision to Eliot Marshall in September.
UFC on Versus 1 is headlined by Bradon Vera vs. Jon Jones and also features Junior dos Santos vs. Gabriel Gonzaga, Cheick Kongo vs. Paul Buentello, and Anthony Johnson vs. John Howard.

This should be a great fight. I do see Schafer getting the sub. Being from Omaha I track Brilz quite a bit. Schafer is tough, I saw him take some powerful shots from Houston in Omaha, before landing the sub. Same outcome this fight

Want to start out with a bang im guessing. Get more viewers to go to VS. which promotes WEC. This could be a good thing for their business so i can see why they are doing it.
