If you were looking forward to seeing Kelvin Gastelum throw down at UFC 195, unfortunately that’s not going to happen.
Yes, less than two weeks out from the January 2nd event, the promotion has announced that Gastelum is injured, and that he’ll no longer fight Kyle Noke. No details regarding Gastelum’s injury were disclosed.
Gastelum’s replacement will be Alex Morono (11-3), who was the reigning welterweight champ with Legacy FC. The latter heads into the bout having won five in a row.
Noke (22-7-1) has defeated Peter Sobotta and Jonavin Webb in his last two fights, and is 3-2 in his last 5.
UFC 195 will be hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. In the main event, welterweight champion Robbie Lawler will take on Carlos Condit.
