The UFC’s 2015 campaign has come to an end, but hardcore fans still have Rizin Fighting Federation’s upcoming, debut events to look forward to.
The new Japanese promotion is the project of Nobuyuki Sakakibara, who was PRIDE’s president when the organization was ruling the MMA world. Rizin’s first event will go down on December 29th, and then on the 31st, it’s second card will take place in Saitama.
As you know, the NYE event will feature the comeback of Fedor Emelianenko, who will take on accomplished kickboxer, Jaideep Singh.
Now sure, a lot of folks were disappointed with Fedor’s decision to sign outside of the UFC, and purists weren’t thrilled with the news he’s fighting Singh. But, a lot of those same folks, will be tuning in next week to see Fedor fight no?
In advance of the bout, Rizin has published a preview video, which follows both Fedor and Singh. It also shows the latter training with legendary Chute Boxe coach, Rudimar Fedrigo. If you’re a fan of Fedor or PRIDE, it’s definitely worth a watch.
