Chris Weidman’s next title defense is less than two weeks away, and it doesn’t sound like the UFC’s middleweight champ is going to have trouble making weight…
Weidman is scheduled to take on Luke Rockhold at UFC 194, which will go down on December 12th in Las Vegas. Recently the undefeated fighter spoke to MMA Junkie.com Radio, and while discussing his camp, Weidman revealed the following:
“I’m more like a 170-pounder,” Weidman said. “I weigh like 192, 193 (pounds) in the morning. I’ve got my weight down really low for this one.”
How about that? Weidman has apparently been working with a nutritionist for his last couple of bouts and he’s also given up drinking, which is why his weight’s been “down low”.
Weidman will be fighting for the first time since May, when he took out Vitor Belfort. Rockhold, meanwhile, submitted Lyoto Machida in his last outing, which took place in April.
