Yes, Conor McGregor has been known to made a bold statement or two, and “Notorious” has made another comment that’s raising some eyebrows.
Often McGregor’s headline grabbing comments involve him criticizing and or insulting another fighter, but one of his latest, is much broader. As you know, McGregor is scheduled to fight Jose Aldo at UFC 194 on December 12th, which is expected to be one of the biggest in UFC history. It will follow McGregor’s stoppage win over Chad Mendes this past July, which also generated a big pile of cash.
Well, recently McGregor announced that he’s heading from his native Ireland to the U.S. in advance of the bout, and while doing so, he relayed this:
Leaving Ireland today for the West Coast. To unify my belt and spearhead the unprecedented $90-100million dollar UFC 194 event. This event along with UFC 189 putting me at close to $200million dollars in revenue generated for this company. All in less than 6months. I am not a company man. I am the company.
UFC 194 will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada.
