Gray Maynard has announced that he’s heading back to the Octagon soon, but apparently he won’t be fighting at 155 pounds…
The 36 year-old fighter has yet to compete since he was decisioned by Alexander Yakovlev this past April. That loss was Maynard’s fourth in a row; however, the previous three were all via stoppage.
The former lightweight contender was asked about his future recently on Twitter, and Maynard responded with the following news:

So, there you have it. It will be interesting to see how Maynard does at 145, and further, whether he can make another title run. Since he was KO’d by Frankie Edgar in 2011, Maynard’s only win came against Clay Guida in 2012.
