UFC Chatter: Hamill-Bisping Rematch Postponed
“The rematch betwen Hamil and I was being planned for Nov 17 in New Jersey. Unfortuntely Hamil is unable to fight as he is having knee surgery. I am dissapointed as I was really looking forward to fighting him again. That said, myself having a torn posterier cruciate ligament in each of my knees for my last 3 fights I can understand why he’s having it.
Wishing you a speedy recovery matt and hopefully we can “get it on” soon.On a side note it gives my big toe a chance to heal as I stubbed it on the way o the octagon. Stay tuned…”
— Michael Bisping has announced that his anticipated rematch with Matt Hamill, which was scheduled to take place at UFC 78, has been postponed indefinitely after Hamill went under the knife to repair a knee injury. No word on whether Bisping will fight in the interim since the rematch will likely not occur until mid-2008.

I don’t see Bisping winning this fight. Win or lose; this should be Bisping’s last fight at Light Heavyweight. Bisping will be a big Middleweight and there should be some fun match-ups that we might see him in as a Middleweight. In his first match at 185 pounds: he can fight guys like Pete Sell, Ed Herman, Kendall Grove, Terry Martin, Travis Lutter, etc.
I also dont see Bisping winning the remach (When it happens)he hasnt got the skills what I have seen by his performances so far. as a UK UFC fan I would love to say he had a bad day at the office but I cant and dont rate him in the Light Heavy weight devision. In this game you get your grade A fighters such as Jackson/ Alexander/ Griffin etc I would put Bisping in the B or C class as I dont feel he has the goods to mix it with the big boys.
