Bellator 145: Daniel Straus Reclaims FW Title, Will Brooks Defends LW Crown

Daniel Straus

Daniel Straus ended an 0-2 drought against Patricio “Pitbull” Freire tonight at Bellator 145, and in doing so, reclaimed the promotion’s featherweight title.

Straus hurt Freire badly early on by flooring him with a left hand, and managed to outscore the latter throughout much of the fight. Freire hung in there and came storming back in the fifth, but Straus received the UD win.
